Introduction of National Procurement Directorate

The National Procurement Directorate (NPD) was established with the aim of providing better services, creating an effective and transparent procurement system, controlling public expenditure, professionalizing the procurement staff, effective procurement monitoring and eliminating corruption. This directorate was established in 2014 under the title of "National Procurement Authority" in the organization structure of Administrative Office of the President (AoP).
