KABUL: Today, Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, the Electronic Procurement System Development Team of the National Procurement Directorate (NPD) hosted an awareness training session for 20 contractors on the Afghanistan Electronic & Open Procurement System (AGEOPS) at the NPD conference hall.
During the session, NPD employees provided comprehensive information about AGEOPS and the Afghanistan Vendors Registration and Classification System (AVRCS). Vendors were guided on obtaining and utilizing the Vendor Procurement Identification Number (vPIN) and encouraged to register their companies in the system. This registration enables easy access to project notices and tender documents from the country's procurement agencies.
It is noteworthy that extensive public awareness programs have been conducted; reaching out to hundreds of companies to enhance the private sector's capacity in utilizing the e-procurement system, with ongoing efforts in this regard.
