KABUL, 22nd April 2023 – Today; employees of the Electronic Procurement System at the National Procurement Directorate (NPD) conducted an online training session for procurement employees of Procurement Entities (PE). The training focused on how to register and approve their procurement plans in the Afghanistan Procurement Planning Management System (APPMS). During this virtual training; employees of Procurement Entities (PE) received detailed information about various components of the Afghanistan Electronic and Open Procurement System (AGEOPS) as well as the Afghanistan Procurement Planning Management System (APPMS). Questions from participants and users were addressed, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the systems. At the conclusion of the program; employees of the PE's expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the NPD and pledged to register and approve their fiscal year 1403 procurement plans in the system. It is worth mentioning that the Electronic and Open Procurement System of Afghanistan (AGEOPS) was launched on 13th December 2023 by the National Procurement Directorate (NPD). Procurement entities are now mandated to utilize this system for processing their procurement projects and sharing procurement-related information.
