KABUL: Today; Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024; employees from the Electronic Procurement System Development Department (EPSD) of the National Procurement Directorate (NPD) provided information about the Afghanistan Electronic and Open Procurement System (AGEOPS) to representatives from the private sector. And urged them to register their companies in the Afghanistan Vendors Registration and Classification System (AVRCS). During this face-to-face meeting; details on how to utilize the electronic procurement system were shared with the private sector representatives. It was emphasized that this system aims to expedite and facilitate the procurement processes. NPD officials also provided specific email addresses and contact numbers to the company representatives, ensuring swift resolution of any issues they might encounter. The AVRCS holds a critical role in streamlining procurement processes, facilitating consortium opportunities, promoting sustainable development through participation, evaluating company capabilities, ensuring fair competition, and enhancing the professionalism of participating companies.
