50 PS Representatives Participate in Access to Bidding Opportunities Online Program
KABUL: Today (Sunday), 4th August 2024; officials of the Electronic Procurement System Development Department (EPSD) of the National Procurement Directorate (NPD) conducted an online session on access to bidding opportunities through the e-procurement system; for around 50 vendors and public awareness and training were provided on the Afghanistan Electronic procurement system. In this online meeting; with the cooperation of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH); vendors received information on Afghanistan Vendor Registration and Classification System (AVRCS) of Afghanistan Electronic Government Procurement System (AGEOPS) and detailed information was shared about the features of the system and how to take full advantage of it. During the session; NPD employees added and Vendors were informed about obtaining and using the Vendor Procurement Identification Number (vPIN) and were encouraged to register their companies in the system. This registration will enable them to easily access project announcements and tender documents related to the country's procurement entities. The AVRCS plays a vital role in expediting the procurement process, fostering consortium opportunities, promoting sustainable development through participation, evaluating company capabilities, ensuring fair competition, and enhancing the professionalism of participating companies.
